A brand new beginning

After many years of corporate life, Gaurabh, Nikhil and I decided to plunge into entrepreneurship to start Tydy’s onboarding software in 2019. With nothing more than an idea that involved the use of data to improve the workplace experience, we set out on a journey that has been incomparable to any other. We have come a long way since then.

Today, Tydy delivers value as a Workflow Automation & Personalization product transforming the workplace experience for Recruiters, Employees, HR, IT, Ops, and Leaders. We save over 18,000 hours of manual work and decrease employee attrition by up to 65% for customers like Genpact, EXL, Fidelity, Virtusa, Swiggy, Asian Paints, and others.

Tydy is a fundamentals-driven business built on a strong financial and operational foundation. And we managed to maintain this as we continued to grow year over year. However, we always knew that Tydy would scale faster and higher if we were to partner with like-minded people.

Today, I am happy to announce that Tydy has been acquired by Phenom, a global HR technology company, and I cannot be more excited about what this next stage of growth holds for us, our customers, colleagues, and investors.

You can read more about it here.

With over 600 global enterprises relying on their Intelligent Talent Experience platform, and the audacious purpose of helping a billion people find the right work, Phenom is the perfect home for Tydy. We get an opportunity to continue to build on a larger platform and our goal of using data to deliver the best work experience for businesses around the world is one step closer.

Through Phenom’s AI-powered talent experiences, HR teams are hiring employees faster, developing them to their full potential, and retaining them longer. As a result, candidates find and choose the right job faster, employees develop their skills and evolve, recruiters become wildly productive, talent marketers engage with extreme efficiency, talent leaders optimize hiring processes, managers build stronger-performing teams, HR aligns employee development with company goals, and HRIT easily integrates existing HR tech to create a holistic infrastructure.

None of this would have been possible without some very important people who have supported us from Day 1:

  • Our investors who bet on us when we had nothing more than an idea.
  • Our colleagues who have been with us for a long time - our average tenure is over 3 years and without these folks, Tydy would have remained just a concept.
  • Our customers who took a bet - a really big one - and found the courage to choose a relatively unknown startup to solve their key business problems and build a better work experience for their people.
  • And our families and friends, who have faced the brunt of the pressure we experience when building a company. We could definitely not have done it without their support and love.

As we look forward to what’s ahead, I can say with confidence that businesses all around the world will have the opportunity to build a superior work experience that combines the best of Phenom’s talent experience platform and Tydy’s Onboarding & Workflow Automation.

Our commitment to our customers will continue to be our brightest guiding light.

Over the next year, we will continue to give you

  1. A superior work experience that combines the best of Phenom and Tydy.
  2. The power of a complete talent experience platform, bringing an even greater experience to HR, IT, Employee, Ops and Manager roles, as well as to your candidates and recruiters.
  3. A faster pace of innovation that will combine data, automation, and AI to create a better work experience - from hire to retire.

Gaurabh, Nikhil and I cannot be prouder of how far we’ve come as entrepreneurs and we are extremely excited to have the opportunity to work with the incredible team at Phenom and the tremendous scale of growth that awaits all of us.
